Berlin Well – studio opening day
Sweat , Bubbles & Belief
Some spaces are rented.
Some spaces are built.
Berlin Well was built.
Built with sweaty T-shirts, late nights, aching arms, furniture carried by hand, countless trips up and down stairs, and more moments of doubt than I care to admit. Built with second-hand treasures, eco-friendly choices, and the stubborn belief that things do not need to be shiny and new to be valuable.
This journey was never just about creating a studio.
It was about creating a home for experiences.
A home for movement and stillness.
For laughter and tears.
For conversations that change something inside us.
For breath, emotions, art, wisdom, connection, and all the beautifully messy things that make us human.
There were moments when the project felt scary. Investing my savings into a hidden space in a second courtyard was not exactly the “safe” option. Every chair, every lamp, every workshop plan carried a little question mark.
Will people come?
Will this work?
Am I completely mad?
The answer is still unfolding, but something remarkable happened along the way.
Strangers became supporters.
People I had only just met offered encouragement, practical help, donations, furniture, ideas, and kind words exactly when they were needed. Every gesture felt like a small vote of confidence. A reminder that community starts long before the doors officially open.
And then Opening Day arrived.
The sun turned the courtyard into a summer oven. We blew bubbles into the warm air. We shook stress from our bodies. We breathed together. We shared drinks, conversations, stories, curiosity, and plenty of smiles.
People wandered through the colorful door and discovered what hides behind it.
Because Berlin Well is a little bit like Berlin itself.
A colorful cover.
A sweet heart.
A rebellious spirit.
Hidden in a second Hof, waiting to be discovered.
This is only the beginning.
My dream is to build a community where all emotions are welcome. A place where joy doesn’t need to perform and sadness doesn’t need to hide. A place for authentic people, curious minds, moving bodies, creative souls, unexpected conversations, and moments that remind us we are not doing life alone.
Thank you to everyone who carried furniture, shared advice, donated items, spread the word, showed up, cheered me on, or simply believed in the idea.
You helped build more than a studio.
You helped build Berlin Well.
And if you haven’t visited yet, come and blow a few bubbles with us.
You never know what you might discover when you step into the wild. 🫧✨🌿
